Hand carved sculptures

Sculptures

All the sculptures I have undertaken have been commissions, I love a challenge.

I thoroughly enjoy working on these although as you can imagine they take much much longer than a walking stick so finding the time to do one is tricky! Please contact me for a timeframe for your chosen sculpture.

My first piece was a grouse hand carved from a block of lime.  I decided that it was well worth the time it took to carve and rather eagerly started planning my next project.  There are a number of hand carved bird and mammal statues on my website. Birds of prey and Moorland bird carvings are my favourite to do so there is quite a biased selection at present but please feel free to contact me if there is something you would like to be commissioned. https://www.countrysticks.co.uk/country-sticks-how-it-all-began/ Timeframes vary depending on the sculpture and the finish you would like. Sculptures can be natural with a protective wax finish or painted. I paint with acrylic paints and finish with a varnish. Sculptures can be mounted on a base with groundwork or free standing.
